Ellerslie Seeks NRFL Premier Mens’ Coach

Ellerslie A.F.C. Inc. is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from persons interested in the position of Premier Mens’ Coach for the 2015 season, and potentially beyond.

Having played in the NRFL Premier Division in 2013, and narrowly missing promotion to that league in 2014 from NRFL Div 1,  the Club remains excited about the future, particularly due to the excellent , home grown talent that is being developed from within its own ranks.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have :

  • Previous NRFL Coaching experience and/or Level 2 Senior Coaching Badge, or higher
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, not just with the players but also the support coaching team feeding into the Premier Squad.
  • Willingness to work alongside the wider Club coaching structures in further developing that playing resource.
  • Commitment to further upskilling their coaching and management abilities.

To register,  please email your footballing CV and covering letter to Mark Weipers, President, at markw@location.co.nz , or phone him on 021 941 139 for further information.

Expressions of Interest in this position close on Wed. 19th Nov 2014.

ELLERSLIE AFC GAINS CLUB QUALITY AWARD

The Quality Club Mark scheme, developed by New Zealand Football in conjunction with the seven regional football federations and the 17 Regional Sports Trusts around the country, shapes continuous improvement in the way football is delivered, supporting clubs as they adopt standards of best practice in all areas of operations.

The scheme focuses on club implementation of the Whole of Football Plan as operations in administration, governance, planning, finance and health and safety are structured alongside football-specific focus areas such as player, coach and referee development.

There are three levels of achievement in the Quality Club Mark: One Star (developing club), Two Star (community club) and Three Star (best practice club).

Ellerslie is the 15th club in the country to have been awarded One-Star status.
